OVERVIEW WORKSHOP OUTLINE

Ever come back from your exotic vacation and find the photographs taken on your fancy DSLR not as good as the ones advertised on the destination brochure? You can’t really blame your camera. A good travel photo needs to tell a story – it needs to convey the aromas, the flavours, the moods, the climate, the culture and the overall atmosphere of the place you have visited.

When you are on the move it is important to be familiar with your camera functions. Imagine missing out on a great macro shot of a tiger in Corbett or the aquamarine hues of a lake in Ladakh just because you couldn’t adjust the right settings on your camera. Travelling creates memories and it is important to record those memories through stunning images.

Our workshop gears you with the essentials of being a travel photographer. From what precautions to take, to optimal camera settings to using natural light in your favour and maybe even how not to disturb a tiger are just some of the things our instructors will take you through. More importantly, we will introduce you to important composition techniques to help you take the perfect shots.

We know that travelling will make you want to take landscape, macro, portraits and action shots and our workshop is designed to tackle all these and more. Our tips will make you create evocative photo essays that capture the personality and charm of the places you visit instead of the “I-was-there” type of shots.

" It was an excellent class. The best part was that the instructor showed us that a good picture is more important than the technical aspects of the camera. I had a great time. "
V. Christopher
